Liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments on a laboratory bench

Testing

Laboratories

Testing is performed by independent laboratories. We do not own one, we do not operate one, and we do not employ the analysts who run the assays.

  • Independent laboratories
  • Named on every record
  • UPLC/MS

What we do and do not control

We set the standard. The laboratory reports the result.

We write the specification

We write the specification a lot is measured against, and we decide whether a lot releases.

We do not touch the result

We do not draw the sample and we do not choose the result.

Every record names its source

Every lot record names the laboratory that performed the work, the method, the method version, the scope of the test, and the dates the sample was taken and tested.

Why it matters

Why the laboratory is named on every record

A result with no laboratory attached is a number nobody outside this business can check. Naming the laboratory is what makes a result checkable by somebody who is not us, which is the entire point of publishing it.

Laboratory currently used

Horizon Analytical, USA

Certificates of analysis for every compound we list come from Horizon Analytical, a laboratory in the USA. Each one reports identity, quantity and purity by UPLC/MS (ultra high performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry) and names the lot tested and the analysis date.

Questions about a result

Ask us about any lot

Email info@peoplespeps.com with the lot number. Where a laboratory report exists for a released lot, it is linked from that lot's record and you do not need to ask us for it.
